Batch Plant Superintendent

Oversees batch plant daily operations for multiple batch plants in a single district. This includes material logistics, training, and equipment maintenance scheduling, coordination of daily operations with project team(s) and facilitates maintenance with oversite from the Corporate Batch Plant Superintendent.
What you will be doing:
Manages batch plant location set-up and moving logistics, resource and materials scheduling and training for multiple batch plants.
Works with project managers/paving manager, oversees day to day operations, ensures plant equipment and personnel are prepared for daily production.
Identifies equipment repair needs, facilitates scheduled maintenance.
Oversees batch plant staff to ensure material delivery, concrete production, and quality control to meet the company expectations of quality and cost.
Monitors quality including strength, aggregate cleanliness, aggregate gradation, cementitious mill certificates, etc. to insure or contract compliance.
Continually monitors batch plant equipment safety performance and concrete quality/smoothness as it pertains to equipment functionality.
Accurately documents charges and maintenance activities on each plant/project.
Coordinates batch plant crane set-up, logistics, and safety plan.
Ensure batch plant operations satisfy client quality requirements, contract specification, and internal quality standards.
Responsible for identifying and training batch plant operators.
Supports and promotes strict adherence to safety and process controls regarding operating equipment, worksite safety and documentation requirements.
Maintains knowledge of Company values and strategic plan.
Perform additional assignments per management's direction
What we are looking for:
5+ years’ experience in heavy civil construction required.
3+ years’ working with central mix batch plants.
Bachelor's Degree preferred.
Valid Driver’s License.
Sets clear expectations for process, roles and responsibilities.
Strong leadership skills to support internal talent growth and mentorship at multiple projects types and locations.
Proven ability in multi-tasking and prioritization skills to provide technical guidance to scheduling, production, construction issues and Owner relationship situations.
Proficient knowledge of construction means and methods.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
