Assistant or Associate Professor

Eastern Virginia Medical School (EVMS) is seeking a faculty member (open rank) for a full-time (12-month) position in our new Master of Healthcare Administration Program. Faculty candidates must possess a Ph.D. or other relevant terminal degree in a directly related field (e.g., healthcare management, health services research, finance, operations management). Health care operations experience is preferred. Candidates with a strong commitment to teaching are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities for this faculty position include teaching graduate courses, conducting and disseminating original research related to healthcare management and administration, advising and mentoring graduate students, serving on Program and University committees, participating in Program assessment activities, and ensuring that the Program continues to meet all external accreditation requirements.
We expect an average enrollment of 20 new students per year, with approximately 40 students in the Program at any given time. Students will complete the MHA degree in two years by taking courses for five consecutive terms. They curriculum will be offered in a hybrid format, with residential classes held during evening hours.
