Role & responsibilities

Setup, development, and work with expert systems and databases (ENDF, JENDL, JEFF, TENDL, etc.) for the simulation of nuclear physical processes;

Development and integration of nuclear measurement technology (simulation, prototype construction, and operation);

Continuous support and supervision of the project;

Creation and documentation of all specifications in cooperation with national and international development partners;

An important internal interface to the areas of mechanical engineering and physics.

Requirements

Willingness to relocate to Austria (Europe)

Completed technical education (at least a Master's degree) with a focus on nuclear physics;

Understanding of mechatronic processes and automation;

Experience with nuclear physical facilities (research reactors, neutron sources, particle accelerators, particle detectors, etc.);

Knowledge in the physical simulation of nuclear physical processes (Monte Carlo codes, transport equation, cross-sections, etc.);

Willingness to travel to national and international partners;

English language skills in speech and writing are required;

Willingness to learn German once on-site

Relevant software knowledge welcome:

Operating systems: Microsoft, Linux

Simulation: Matlab/Simulink, OpenModelica, Python, Matcad, FEM/CFD (Comsol, Ansys, etc.)
