A Dialysis Registered Nurse provides specialized nursing care at one of DCI’s in-center hemodialysis units as part of a patient care team. Our RNs are integral in ensuring safe care and the highest quality outcomes are prioritized for every patient.

Schedule: 32-hours per week, Full-Time benefits; Sundays off; no overnight shifts

Compensation: Pay ranges from $41.48 to $64.41 an hour depending on nursing and dialysis experience; This is a union position with union benefits

Responsibilities:
What You Can Expect:

• Prepare dialysis machine, its alarms, and treatment supplies and ensure quality standards are met
• Perform hemodialysis treatments per facility policies and procedures
• Ongoing patient education, training and health coaching
• Monitor patients during dialysis, assessing and communicating changes with physician and families
• Administer and chart all prescribed medications
• Follow CDC/CMS infection control regulations
• Participate in patient care conferences, rounds and chart reviews
• Document required patient education efforts
• Facilitate continuity of care with local hospitals
• Assist in medication inventory maintenance
• Lead a small patient care team
• Contribute to onboarding new staff members as directed
• Additional tasks as requested

Qualifications:
Successful Candidates Bring:
• Excellent communication skills
• Demonstrated clinical excellence
• Desire to collaborate with care teams
• Ability to problem solve

Education/Training:
• Accredited nursing degree required
• Dialysis experience not required
• DCI provides a 3-month comprehensive training, including classroom group sessions and one-on-one skills training
• New graduates encouraged to apply
