$15.00/hr minimum - $20.00/hr maximum (range increases based on education, experience and certifications)

Responsibilities:
Position Summary

Responsible for assessing spiritual needs, provides spiritual care and pastoral counseling to patients/families/employees.

The fundamental function of the Chaplain Associate is to make tangible the presence of God as he/she provides pastoral ministry in the health care

The Chaplain Associate assists individuals with spiritual and emotional integration of their current health crisis and brining a positive outcome. 

Job Roles

SafetyManages processes effectively in regard to employee/patient safety.

Record KeepingMaintains all required records, reports, statistics, logs, files and other documents as required.

Process ImprovementPromotes a culture of process improvement by participating in unit/department based programs that supports the system’s process improvement goals.

Actively participates on system-wide or hospital-based teams as needed.

Role Specific ResponsibilitiesAssesses, provides, and documents pastoral care to the patients, families and staff daily. Determine spiritual needs and a plan of care.

Works with area Ministers

Proactively participates in inter-disciplinary delivery of holistic patient care services through rounding, inter-departmental meetings, and family conferences.

Provides appropriate pastoral care through the sacraments, ordinances, rituals and blessings as needed.

Maintains appropriate follow-up care with patient/families.

Performs other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:
Education

I: High School diploma or equivalent

II: Associate’s degree preferred

Pursuit of Bachelor’s Degree and Clinical Pastoral Education expected

Licenses and Certification

Licensed or Commissioned to Ministry by Church

Ordination optional

Endorsement by local church, diocese, or denomination

Experience and Skills

Technical Experience: 1 year
