Job Summary:

Sunroc Corporation is seeking a capable and driven Asphalt Prep and Paving Foreman that has experience reading project plans, running a grade crew and operating heavy equipment such as grader, track hoes, backhoes, loaders, skid steers, etc. while adhering to Sunroc's operational and safety standards.

 

Duties:

Organize and supervise a grade crew

Assist with pre-paving planning on paving passes, mix type, compaction effort, trucking and lift thickness

Able to read and understand project plans

Good communication skills for working with owners/project managers

Communicate trucking needs, quantity and quality of mix and quality of paving job.

Qualifications:

At least one year of experience as a Paving Crew Supervisor

Strong working knowledge regarding the operation, safety and maintenance of equipment in use

Ability to safely operate equipment in the presence of field crew and utilities ensuring the safety of all persons, equipment, property and utilities in the area

Valid drivers license and clean MVR

CDL a plus

Ability to work long hours and move at least 50 lbs. on a routine basis

Effective written and verbal communication skills

Able to promote and work in an effective team environment
