We are looking for a Lead Resident Assistant who would provide personal cares to improve and/or maintain our senior assisted living/memory care residents’ physical and emotional well-being at our beautiful community in Minneapolis, MN.

 

This resident assistant/caregiver schedule includes;

80 hours per pay period 

Includes working every other weekend and holidays rotation

Opened in 2020, the Pillars of Prospect Park is conveniently located off the light rail transit station and close to the metro bus near the University of Minnesota campus in Minneapolis, MN.  The Pillars of Prospect Park Senior Living features 133 Independent living, 106 assisted living, and 44 memory care apartments. Responsibilities/Job Description:
Assists residents with personal cares including but not limited to: bathing, shaving, dressing, hair care, feeding, toileting, and transfers/lifts.

Under direction of Nurse, provides health related services as needed such as; passing medication, glucose monitoring, temperatures, blood pressure, and pulse.

May perform duties that include: laundry, cleaning, meal service, and assisting with activities.

Observes residents and reports status to appropriate staff

Assists with onboarding of new staff

Includes assisting with on-call staffing needs on a rotating basis

Qualifications:

Required Skills:

Ability to communicate optimally, with compassion and kindness for residents and coworkers

Ability to work in a team setting and support others

Curiosity to work with a diverse and older population

CNA certificated if under 18

Other Required Skills:

Ability to read, write, and speak English

Preferred Education/Experience/Skills:

High School diploma or GED or completion of a formal NA or HHA course

Previous work experience as HHA, CNA, NA, DSP, PCA
