Job Description:
To ensure a safe, efficient, and well-maintained hotel environment. Respond to all work requests for guestrooms, function rooms, food outlets and public areas. Responsible for interior and the exterior of hotel.

Responsibilities:
Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address guests.

Respond and attend to guest repair requests.

Perform the necessary repairs to moderately complex equipment such as vacuum cleaners, toasters, lamps and small appliances as needed. Work is performed in a workshop environment and requires working at a workbench.

Understand and operate advanced electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, and boiler systems.

Read and understand blueprints, schematic drawings, and technical parts breakdown.

Update the maintenance work order form/Job card.

Ability to interpret readings from meters & gauges and other measuring units.

Understand and call-in problems with TV cable system through Sonifi.

Check for new maintenance requests from the Synergy Tablet and update remarks once the task is completed.

Ability to read and understand test equipment, measuring devices, and safety manuals.

Communicate with different types of people to comprehend what they want and to provide them with information and assistance.

Qualifications:
 

Essential:

High school graduate.

Ability to clearly communicated with proper grammar in English with guest/visitor and hotel personnel to their understanding.

Ability to provide legible communication.

Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations.

Knowledge of SafLok System.

Knowledge of LodgeNet TV System.

Knowledge of RFID systems.

Basic knowledge in reading blueprints and log books.

Desirable:

Some college education.

Previous hotel experience.

Some formal classroom training in plumbing, electric, IT, carpentry, HVAC/R

 

Pay rate: $31.64 - $32.27/hr. The pay scale provided is a range that Omni Hotels & Resorts reasonably expects to pay. Actual compensation offered may fluctuate based on a candidate’s qualifications and/or experience
