Job Summary

This position is responsible for maintaining paint finishes in the physical environment to ensure a suitable environment for the care and treatment of patients.

Responsibilities:
Under the direct supervision of a Supervisor/Lead Mechanic, this position will provide a safe campus, including:

Repairs minor wall and ceiling damage

Works as part of the project team

Paints required specifications in all areas on UofL Health campuses

Works with Infection Prevention to follow ICRA policy guide lines

Works with facility leadership to design/develop building renovation and/or improvements

Other Functions:

Responsible for corrective and preventive maintenance of all assigned equipment utilizing a data-based work order management system

Responsible for maintaining of parts materials and supplies to perform daily job function

Assists other skilled workers and performs general maintenance work as needed

Complies with HIPAA privacy and security requirements to maintain confidentiality at all times

Maintains compliance with all company policies, procedures and standards of conduct.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Education:

High School diploma or GED/Equivalent (required)

Experience:

5+ years commercial painter (required)

10+ years commercial painter (preferred)

License:

Current Valid Driver’s License must be maintained (required)

Certification:

Kentucky Society of Healthcare Engineers (KSHE) Safe Day One Training (preferred)
