Civil Engineer – Renewable Energy | New England

Responsibilities

Work within an integrated team of engineers, environmental scientists, surveyors, transportation designers, and landscape architects in developing site civil engineering plans and specifications for a multitude of renewable energy infrastructure projects with a focus on sustainability and resiliency

Attend meetings with clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders to establish their needs and discuss design/permitting issues

Preparation of design plans from schematic design through construction documents

Assist in the preparation of permitting materials

Technical and Design Report writing

Skills & Abilities

Self-motivated with ability to think critically and creatively

Excellent verbal, written, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills

Collaborate with designers and CADD technicians in the development of drawings in accordance with national design standards, safety codes, and client specific project specifications and requirements

Ability to manage deliverable and time commitments

Qualifications

BS in Civil Engineering or related field

3-5 years of professional site/civil engineering experience, including consulting/private sector experience

EIT preferred

AutoCAD Civil 3D experience required

GIS, HydroCAD, and StormCAD experience a plus

Experience preparing graphics and maps highly desired
