Cafe Cashier

Overview:
The Cafe Cashier & Coffee Attendant is responsible for greeting guests, stocking the multiple areas in the cafe and assisting with coffee services at multiple locations withing the buidling. The Cafe Cashier & Coffee Attendant is responsible for assiting the Cafe Manager with maintaining a clean workspace and executing the daily operations. 

 

This role will pay an hourly wage within the range of $14 to $16.

Responsibilities:
Conduct the cash register sales by entering the orders and completing the transaction.

Responsible for counting inventory, maintaining stock and supply levels, and communicating to the Cafe Manger of low stock items.

Responsible for setting up catering equipment and executing any daily caterings in or outside of the cafe

Listening and responding to customer requests or concerns

Responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work space including but not limited to disposal of garbage & cleaning dishes.

Maintains sanitation, health and safety standards in work areas.

Responsible for brewing coffee and stocking stations daily

Qualifications:
Availability to work early morning shifts, as early as 5:30AM, Monday-Friday

6 months of experience in catering or food & beverage service industry preferred

Ability to learn to operate the point of sale system and corresponding system

Ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment.

Ability to communicate with employees, co-workers, management staff and guest in a clear, business-like and respectful manner which focuses on generating a positive enthusiastic and cooperative work environment.

Possess valid food handling certificate and alcohol service permit if required by state and federal regulations.

Ability to calculate basic math functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages) as they relate to product inventory.

Ability to speak, read and write in English.

Experience working in a fast-paced, high volume restaurant capacity is preferred.
