About the Role:We are looking for a Press Brake Operator / Sheetmetal Mechanic to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for molding sheetmetal for use in manufacturing projects. Sheet metal mechanic skills include altering, welding, repairing, and assembling sheetmetal products.

Responsibilities:

Set-up and operate power shear, CNC hydraulic press brake, power rolls, punch and other related equipment

Prepares, sets up, and adjusts press brake as required by product plans and production schedules

Operate overhead cranes, clamping devices and presses

Have a working knowledge of a numerical controlled machine

Utilize hand tool, saw, hand plasma and hand punch/die to perform Sheetmetal work

Able to operate tools including but not limited to, hand tools, manual machine tools, torch, drill press, etc.

Familiar with all material types

Maintain clean and safe work area

Ability to learn Eriez labor and work order collection system

Complete tasks timely and efficiently in accordance with expectations as directed by supervisor

     

Requirements

High School diploma, GED, or equivalent

Experience in measuring, cutting, and altering sheetmetal

Experience with use of saw, lasers, and presses

Ability to safely and effectively operate or learn to operate press brake controls

Able to read and interpret engineering drawings and use basic shop math including decimals and fractions

Make simple layouts following drawings and sketches

Able to use measuring tools to verify accuracy of cut materials

Able to form basic geometry
