Ecologist II

Job Description

AECOM has a position available for an Ecologist II for our Orlando, Florida or Raleigh, NC locations.  In this position you would assist the ecological services department with the evaluation and documentation of natural resources.  These evaluations include the identification and assessment of vegetative assemblages and wildlife and plant species, including the establishment of the extent of wetland jurisdiction regulated by local, state, and/or federal agencies. 

The successful applicant will have:

A working knowledge of wetland assessment using the Uniform Mitigation Assessment Method (UMAM)

Environmental permitting, protected species survey requirements knowledge, and strong technical writing capabilities.

Working knowledge of fauna and flora indigenous to the southeastern United States and regulations protecting wetlands and protected species.

Clear working knowledge of GIS.
