Over 20 specialties, including orthopedics, heart and vascular, surgery, and trauma services.

KH Dayton expanded their Emergency Department as well as their heart & vascular services to include an additional catheterization lab and electrophysiology lab.

Partners with Gem City Market to provide fresh fruits and vegetables every Tuesday within the hospital.

Responsibilities & Requirements:
The Trauma Registrar reports to the Trauma Program Manager. This role is responsible for identification of trauma patients for inclusion in the trauma registry as well as abstraction of all required data fields, critiques, process measures, and complications with assigned timelines with a high degree of accuracy. Performs other duties as assigned.

 

 

Minimum Education
-High School graduate required.
-College degree related to health information systems, medical information, or data systems preferred.

 

Minimum Work Experience
-Experience as a certified coding specialist with knowledge of registry methodology, experience in ICD--10/AIS coding or experience as a trauma registrar preferred.

 

Required Licenses
Other
Certification as a CSTR-Certified Specialist in Trauma Registry by the American College of Surgeons after 2 years of hire.

 

Required Skills
-Proficiency in a word processing program required; Microsoft Word preferred.
-Proficiency using computer database programs required; Microsoft Access preferred.
-Knowledge and skill in methods of filing and retrieval of information.
-Typing skills of 60 wpm required.
-Ability to plan, initiate responsibilities and follow through with a minimum of direct supervision.
