Purpose and Scope:
  The Associate, Planning & Logistics, prepares, edits and/or proofreads various documents, which may include letters of correspondence, grant applications and proposals, promotional materials, manuals, specifications, purchase orders, and others. Receives and responds to inquiries, concerns and complaints regarding issues, programs, policies and procedures in areas of responsibility. Oversees routing and coordination of delivery of food and supplies, primarily for direct shipment to school cafeterias, and provides assistance as needed for items for the central warehouse and central kitchen.

Essential Job Functions:
1.For assigned products reviews orders from school cafeterias to verify every cafeteria has ordered appropriate quantities; resolves missing, incomplete or unreasonable orders. 2.Consolidates orders from school cafeterias and initiate corresponding orders on vendors. 3.Works with school cafeterias to resolve problems with vendor deliveries, whether incorrect items, incorrect quantities or quality issues. 4.Works with support staff to maintain records of Vendor Score Card items in conjunction with Nutrition Service Buyer, Nutrition Service Analyst, and Planning Logistics Analyst. Communicates with peers and Management on poor vendor performance. 5.Maintains product and order-related data in food service management system and district ERP system, ensuring proper setup and accurate ordering and receiving information. 6.Prepares, edits and/or proofreads various documents, which may include letters of correspondence, grant applications and proposals, promotional materials, manuals, specifications, purchase orders, and others. Receives and responds to inquiries, concerns and complaints regarding issues, programs, policies and procedures in areas of responsibility. 7.Assists in monitoring PAR levels for all food and supplies for Planning and Logistics with Central Nutrition Center as well as assisting in coordinating and communicating the need to place orders to support the Central Kitchen, School Sites, Summer Feeding and Special Programs. 8.Assists in assuring adherence to federal, state, and local policies and procedures, laws and regulations, codes and ordinances concerning standards of product.9.Assists the report development team in the design, development, testing, and development of analytical and statistical reporting.10.Examines the operating and financial impacts of internal business processes and aid in improvement and or streamline process.11.Coordinates meetings with various teams to communicate the details about product availability and receives proper approvals for all adjustments. 12.Performs related responsibilities as required or directed.

Minimum Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree in a closely related area plus an additional 4 years related experience, or equivalent, for a total education/experience of 8 years.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
*Knowledge in industry-related issues in supply chain, logistics and shipping operations.
*Ability to articulate logistics objectives and provide solutions to real-time logistics problems.
*Ability to follow procedures and policies
*Superior organizational skills and attention to detail.
*Must possess excellent computer skills and have a working knowledge of programs such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
*Ability to manage work time efficiently
*Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
*Ability to identify and solve problems
