Saint John Hospital Pharmacy Department is looking for a dynamic Pharmacist Intern to join our team

 

In addition to acute care services, Saint John Hospital specializes in 24/7 emergency care, senior behavioral health, skilled nursing, ambulatory care, including outpatient surgical services, imaging services including 3D mammography, Diagnostic Imaging and Ultrasound, Rehabilitation Services including Physical, Occupational and Speech/Language Therapy and Audiology. Responsibilities:
The SJH Pharmacy Department is looking for a dynamic Pharmacist Intern to join our team to assist the Pharmacist in a per diem role.  The duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

assists the Pharmacist in the support of the drug distribution systems including patient counseling and pharmacokinetic calculations

participates in performance improvement and data collections activities

responsible for dosage preparation, preparation of sterile admixture using aseptic technique, floor stock delivery, pre-packaging, billing, receiving, and stocking

participates in providing pharmaceutical care for the following age groups: neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics

other responsibilities include: inventory control, controlled substances distribution, documentation and accountability, assisting in the inspection of medication storage areas throughout the hospital, and maintaining the cleanliness of the department

all responsibilities are performed under the supervision of a licensed Pharmacist according to local board of pharmacy and state regulations

performs other tasks as assigned by the Pharmacist
