What Your Day Will Look Like:
CONSOR is currently looking for a Traffic Engineer in Training for our Denver office. This position will contribute to delivering a wide variety of transportation/traffic design, operations, and analysis projects, including intelligent transportation systems, connected vehicle and emerging technologies, traffic signal design, traffic signal timing, alternatives analysis, signal and phasing warrants, and various traffic and operational studies. Operations and analysis tasks may involve transportation data analysis and visualization to encourage data driven decisions in our projects using platforms such as MS Office Suite, BI tools, GIS and traffic simulations. Design tasks may involve CADD design and plan production, development of specifications and estimates, and review of ITS technologies.

 

The candidate must be a highly motivated and talented engineer with a strong interest in transportation projects, and someone who wants to make positive changes to the way people move throughout our communities. As described above, this position is expected to span both Operations and Design. Additionally, our projects may also span other verticals, such as multi-modal planning, civil design, and/or construction services.  As a dynamic and growing engineering consulting firm, CONSOR is full of opportunities for career development. 

 

Compensation: $60,000 to $70,000 a year

What You'll Do:
Supporting the development of operations analysis for transportation projects.

Supporting the development of traffic and ITS design packages for transportation projects.

Following our quality control process to ensure high caliber work products.

What You'll Need:
A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field is required.

Registered as a Licensed Engineer in Training (E.I.T.) preferred.

0-3 years of professional transportation engineering experience.

Knowledgeable in traffic simulation software. Specify any experience with Synchro, VISSIM, SIDRA, RODEL, TransModeler, PowerBI, Tableau or any other computer aided drafting softwares. 

Knowledgeable in computer aided drafting and design systems. Specify any experience with MicroStation or AutoCAD.

Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Effective communication skills: both oral and written for team collaboration and interpersonal relationships developed with employees and clients.

Self-motivated, detail-oriented professional with strong organizational skills.

A desire to grow personally and professionally with each project while working in a team environment supporting our client’s overall project goals.

Time management and the ability to multitask and prioritize competing project obligations.

Ability to work with others and capacity to learn new skills.
