Position Overview: 

As a Bookkeeping Clerk, you will play a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the overall efficiency of our finance department. You will assist in various bookkeeping tasks, including data entry, record-keeping, and basic financial analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the accurate and timely processing of accounts payable and receivable transactions.

Perform data entry tasks to update and maintain financial records in our accounting software.

Reconcile bank statements and ensure the accuracy of financial transaction records.

Support payroll processing activities, including verifying timesheets and assisting with payroll inquiries.

Assist in the preparation of financial reports, such as balance sheets and income statements.

Collaborate with team members to address any discrepancies or issues in financial records.

Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all relevant accounting principles and regulations.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in accounting or bookkeeping is a plus.

Previous 1+ year of experience in a similar role or internship is preferred.

Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or similar platforms is advantageous.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.

Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and procedures.

Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices is desirable.
