Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Supporting the planning, analysis, permitting, design, and inspection of waterfront development projects including marinas, shoreline protection, beaches, dredging, and related projects;

Developing figures and plans in AutoCAD Civil 3D to support waterfront planning and engineering projects;

Supporting the preparation of feasibility studies, engineering plans, cost estimates, technical reports, and specifications;

Supporting the Waterfront team with field investigations;

Assisting with the development of state and federal permit applications pertaining to waterfront projects;

Supporting construction administration on waterfront development projects.

Education and Licensure:
Bachelor's degree in coastal/ocean engineering, civil engineering, coastal science,  construction management, or closely related field (required)

Engineer in Training (EIT) certification (preferred)

Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
Outstanding communication skills, with a specific focus on business/technical writing.

Ability to follow directions, work independently, and in a team setting.

Proficiency with AutoCAD (Civil 3D)/GIS.

Basic knowledge of surveying and surveying principles. (preferred)

Valid U.S. driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required)

Valid passport (or eligibility obtain) and ability/willingness to travel internationally to support waterfront project work. (preferred)

Prior internship experience in AEP field. (preferred)

Boating experience. (preferred)
