Telecomm Operator

Overview:
This is a PRN position means that there are no set hours or shifts per week- Based on department need. This role has very limited benefits.

 

Located in Rockford,IL

 

 

Starting pay for this position is $17.14/hour.

2nd shift additional $2.00/hour.

3rd shift additional $2.50/hour.

 

POSITION SUMMARY:

The telecommunications operator provides a positive first impression to callers and matches his/her request to available resources/services. Serves as a resource to internal/external callers regarding the physicians, mission partners, and services associated with this OSF facility and region. Responds in a calm, professional manner in handling patient/family concerns and effectively uses a variety of communication methods to respond to emergency situations.

Qualifications:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education

High School diploma or GED

Experience

1 year of experience working with phone systems or customer service

Skills or Knowledge

Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills

keyboarding

knowledge of phone systems and basic computer software applications.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience

1-2 years in a healthcare setting with prior switchboard operator experience
