Job Description

AECOM is actively seeking a talented Ecologist for immediate employment in the Conshohocken, PA office.  

The successful candidate will work in an interdisciplinary, team-oriented environment.  This position provides unlimited career growth potential while working with a team comprised of a variety of staff and project managers in support of AECOM’s clients.

There are opportunities to work on large-scale projects or projects further afield than the typical project range if the candidate is interested. 

Responsibilities

Leads field events for the collection of abiotic and biotic samples.

Operates, maintains, and trailers boats (14' - 20').

Compiles, evaluates, and analyzes environmental data.

Preparation of reports and other technical documents.

Utilizes basic scientific principles, theories, practices, and existing technologies to develop solutions for technical problems with limited scope.

Participate in aspects of proposal preparation and scoping exercises, such as sourcing and seeking quotes from subcontractors/suppliers.

Interprets and records data, conducts analyses, compares findings to relevant studies and local, state, and federal regulations to ensure compliance.

Works under general supervision.

Performs standard scientific work requiring the application of techniques and procedures.

Conducts specific phases of projects for more experienced scientists.

Assists senior staff with business development activities, including proposals, pre-qualifications, and relationship building with clients and prospective clients.
