Job Description

The Transportation Business Line of AECOM is actively seeking a highly talented and self-motivated Civil Specialist Drafter/ Designer or Technician for immediate employment in the Cincinnati, Ohio office.

This role will provide the opportunity to directly support transformational projects including the Brent Spence Bridge Corridor project. This project is one of the largest highway infrastructure projects in the country and entails design and construction of existing bridge improvements and a new bridge crossing of the Ohio River between Cincinnati and Covington Kentucky, along with 8 miles of significant highway improvements. Design has begun and will extend over the coming years, providing a unique opportunity for multiple career-defining roles on the project. The Role Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

This position will be responsible for serving as primary departmental resource for CAD drafting/modeling at the project level

CAD drafting/modeling will be performed in a manner which adheres to accepted engineering practices and standards, as well as company standards

Prepare and issue all associated design/drafting packages in coordination with IT support staff

Assist in the development, implementation and deployment of CAD drafting/modeling and survey standards on a departmental level, as directed

Assume primary responsibility for providing a quality work product by checking the work product of associates and assuming both schedule and quality measures

Assist in the training and development of junior staff

The ability to work closely with design professionals at a project level with minimal supervision
