Requirements

Study diagnostic records, such as medical or dental histories, plaster models of teeth, photos of a patient’s face and teeth, and X-rays, to develop patient treatment plans. Adjust dental appliances to produce and maintain normal function

Fit dental appliances in patient’s mouths to alter the position and relationship of teeth and jaws or to realign teeth

Diagnose teeth and jaw or other dental-facial abnormalities.

Examine patients to assess abnormalities of jaw development, tooth position, and other dental-facial structures.

Instruct dental assistants in orthodontic procedures and techniques

Coordinate orthodontic services with other dental services/providers

Must have Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctorate of Dental Medicine (DMD) required. State-required certification/licensure as required to work as an Orthodontist and active CPR certification.

Has a passion for dentistry and enjoys working in a team environment

Provides comfort dental care to help our patients feel at ease while in the dental chair

Flexibility to work at other office locations if necessary
