We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Transportation Manager with Hazmat certification to join our team.

Position Overview:

We are looking for a knowledgeable Transportation Manager who possesses a Hazmat certification and has a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in managing transportation operations, particularly with hazardous materials. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the safe transportation of goods, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and implementing efficient logistics strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and oversee transportation operations, including the handling, shipping, and delivery of hazardous materials in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

Develop and implement transportation policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure the safe and efficient movement of hazardous materials.

Coordinate and schedule transportation activities, optimizing routes and ensuring timely deliveries while minimizing risks and costs.

Ensure all transportation activities adhere to safety standards and regulatory requirements, including proper handling, storage, and documentation of hazardous materials.

Collaborate with internal teams, external vendors, and regulatory agencies to maintain compliance and resolve transportation-related issues.

Conduct regular inspections and audits to assess transportation equipment, facilities, and procedures for compliance and safety.

Evaluate and select transportation vendors, negotiate contracts, and manage relationships to ensure high-quality service and cost-effectiveness.

Train and educate staff on proper handling and transportation procedures for hazardous materials.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.

Hazmat certification required.

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in transportation management, specifically handling hazardous materials.

Strong knowledge of transportation regulations and compliance requirements, including DOT, EPA, and OSHA regulations.

Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Proficiency in transportation management software and MS Office Suite.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and lead by example.

Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to commute into the office in Denver, CO or Springdale, AR
