Overview:
The Vice President is responsible for the overall administration, clinical planning, development, and operations of Rehabilitation Programs within multiple client markets. Manages and directs team in the provision of rehabilitation program services to patients and clients. In conjunction with the Divisional President, establishes and meets budgetary standards for program performance.

Salary Range $140,000 to $170,000 depending upon experience.  Bonus options available. 

Responsibilities:
Prepare annual operating budget in conjunction with facility budget and contribute to the development of the capital budget.

Responsible for managing and growing the revenue base for assigned geography.

Routinely monitor revenues and expenses and review with RVP. Initiate and follow through on appropriate actions in order to ensure that budget goals are met or exceeded for HealthPRO Heritage and the customer.

Ability to work in an entrepreneurial framework within HealthPRO Heritage.

Communicate to President and COO any entrepreneurial approaches to advance operational success throughout HealthPRO Heritage

Attend and participate in regional business and clinical strategy meetings, as appropriate.

Report to C-suite with a Monthly Business Review

Visit each assigned facility on an as-needed basis to assess the operation, review financial performance, and develop a plan of action for any identified problems. Effectively organize both time and tasks to ensure that facility visits are productive.

Displays confidence, sensitivity and professional demeanor to gain the respect and trust of facility administrators.

Work with facility leadership to identify training needs of Regional Vice Presidents and Regional Managers; and to coordinate start-up of new contracts.

Develop and maintain positive, interactive and long-term relationships with new and existing customers and referring organizations.

Participate in strategy meetings with the customer at the facility level, and with upstream or downstream partners. Analyze data to support census development for HealthPRO Heritage and customers.

Understand the market dynamics, including referral sources, ACOs, hospital systems and other entities participating in health care reform initiatives.

Maintain complete authority to hire, terminate, develop, provide remedial counseling, mentor and evaluate staff in accordance with company policies. Actively promote optimum employee relations and communication. Hold Regional Vice Presidents accountable to ensure staff complies with policies, procedures and practices.

Work closely with Recruiting, Regional Directors of Recruiting and Regional Vice Presidents to ensure appropriate staffing levels in order to achieve quality resident outcomes and meet or exceed budgetary guidelines.

Attend Business Development Meetings and Trade shows relative to respective territory with Regional BD lead. Assist with any intel to promote additional business development.

Ensure that Regional Vice Presidents have appropriate staffing levels in facilities and job orders in place to maximize clinical operations. Assist Regional Vice Presidents in evaluation and hiring of therapy staff.

Ensure that Regional Vice Presidents are actively involved in guiding the rehab director with sourcing, recruitment, hiring, and orientation of new staff. Provide ongoing development of staff by relating policies and procedures with the mission and values of the company and the client facility. Model appropriate behavior and act as a mentor to Management and Clinical staff.

Promote, hire, and train new Regional Vice Presidents and Regional Managers in accordance with company expectations.

Establish a routine scheduled meeting weekly and communicating regularly with Regional Vice Presidents in assigned area and ensuring Regional Vice Presidents have appropriate onsite time at assigned facilities.

Develop short-term and long-range plans in conjunction with key personnel ensure consistency of clinical care for each assigned facility.

Support clinical programming to maximize clinical and financial outcomes and ensure quality care delivery.

Continuously promote interdisciplinary treatment, clinical reasoning skills and   best practices within rehabilitation parameters.

Oversee rehabilitation claims ADR, denial and appeal processes. Ensure that Regional Vice Presidents are responding to all ADRs, denials, and appeals in a timely manner to comply with facility contract provisions. Communicate status of claims with the Compliance and Denials team.  

Participate in direct and indirect resident care as warranted.

Demonstrates initiative, desire to succeed and willingness to learn.

Perform other duties as assigned or required to ensure quality resident care and equitable financial success

Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or four to six years of experience in operations management (preferably in a multi-facility long-term care setting)

Valid professional license in the state(s) where services are rendered, when applicable.

Five or more years of experience, with two or more years experience in a supervisory capacity in home health, long-term care or sub acute care preferred.

Proven leadership skills in the healthcare field. Knowledge of and ability to perform skills related to management, planning, budgeting and marketing.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong salesmanship.

Highly analytical and creative thinking skills.

Solution oriented, results driven individual.

Strong values, ethical standards and credibility.

Knowledge of local, state and federal regulations pertaining to facility and rehabilitation functions.

Working knowledge of personal computer and software applications used in job functions (word processing, graphics, databases, spreadsheets, etc.)
