Phlebotomy Technician

Under the general supervision of the manager of phlebotomy services, a phlebotomy technician assumes the responsibility for performing venipuncture and related procedures, urine drug screen collections, and applicable culture collections.  Also, a phlebotomy technician will perform registration duties as specifically related to client bill and non-admit specimens.  Phlebotomy technicians are responsible for ordering tests in the laboratory computer system as needed.

Overview of Responsibilities:
Phlebotomy technicians will also perform Point of Care Testing and UDP testing via Escreen as needed. 

Responsible for ordering tests in the laboratory computer system as needed.

Will perform registration duties as specifically related to client bill and non-admit specimens. 

Education/Experience:
Education: High School Diploma

Certifications: Phlebotomy certification preferred. BLS certified. 

Schedule Details:
32 Hours weekly.
Flex Hours, Availability is for all shifts
Rotating weekends, holidays and on-calls as required.
