The hospital’s heart attack treatment times consistently beat the national average and the hospital offers two cardiac catheterization labs available 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Groundbreaking cardiac procedures at Dominican include the Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR) procedure which allows for heart valve replacement without opening a patient’s chest.Dominican Hospital has forged significant partnerships with area hospitals to bring exceptional care to Santa Cruz County. The hospital offers a level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) through a partnership with Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford. Responsibilities:
Position Summary:
The Surgical Technician II is responsible for supporting Registered Nurses and Surgeons in the Operating Room. They handle sterile instruments during surgical procedures. They monitor their sterile field and are responsible for the care and maintenance of surgical instruments supplies and equipment. Working as part of the OR team is essential. Responsible for picking cases and room turn-over after procedures.

Qualifications:
Minimum:
Current Certified Surgical Technologist by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting required.
Current AHA BLS certification required.
Preferred:
Two (2) years ORT experience preferred.
Graduate from an approved program for OR Technicians or equivalent preferred.
Current Certified OR Technician or equivalent CT ORG preferred.
