The Sailor will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe navigation, operation, and maintenance of the vessel under the supervision of the Deck Officers. The ideal candidate will have a strong maritime background, excellent seamanship skills, and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of safety and professionalism.

Responsibilities:

Participate in the safe navigation of the ship by standing watch duties on the bridge, including lookout, helmsman, and other assigned duties as directed by the Officer on Watch onboard the cruise ship

Assist with mooring and anchoring operations during port calls, including handling mooring lines, winches, and other deck equipment.

Perform routine maintenance and cleaning tasks on deck, including washing, painting, and preserving the ship's exterior surfaces.

Conduct safety inspections of life-saving equipment, firefighting apparatus, and emergency response tools to ensure readiness for maritime emergencies.

Assist in the operation and maintenance of shipboard machinery and equipment, including steering gear, winches, cranes, and davits.

Conduct routine checks and maintenance tasks on navigational aids, such as radar, GPS, and navigation lights, to ensure proper functioning.

Participate in safety drills and emergency response exercises to maintain proficiency in emergency procedures and protocols.

Maintain a clean and organized living environment in crew quarters and communal areas onboard the ship.

Follow established procedures for waste management, recycling, and environmental protection to minimize the ship's ecological footprint.

Adhere to all company policies and procedures related to maritime safety, security, and environmental stewardship.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent

Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Sailor

Valid seafarer's documents and certifications

Strong navigation and mechanical skills

Excellent communication and customer service skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Physically fit and able to lift heavy objects

Willingness to work long hours and be away from home for extended periods of time

Strong teamwork and problem-solving abilities

Ability to remain calm and think quickly in emergency situations
