Overview:We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and organized Payroll Processor to join our finance team. The Payroll Processor will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for our employees. The ideal candidate will have strong numerical skills, proficiency in payroll software, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and compliance with payroll regulations.

Responsibilities:

Process payroll for employees accurately and timely, ensuring all payroll transactions are processed efficiently and in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Enter and maintain employee information in the payroll system, including new hires, terminations, changes in status, and tax withholdings.

Review timekeeping records and resolve discrepancies as needed, ensuring accuracy in calculating wages, overtime, bonuses, and deductions.

Calculate and process adjustments, such as retroactive pay, reimbursements, and garnishments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Generate payroll checks or direct deposits and distribute them to employees on designated pay dates.

Reconcile payroll reports, tax filings, and general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll-related matters, including pay stubs, deductions, and tax withholdings, in a timely and professional manner.

Assist in preparing payroll-related reports and provide data analysis as needed to support decision-making and reporting requirements.

Stay updated on changes in payroll regulations and best practices, and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Maintain confidentiality of employee payroll information and comply with data protection regulations.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.

1-2 years of experience in payroll processing or related role.

Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex) and Microsoft Office Suite.

Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail, with the ability to accurately calculate wages, taxes, and deductions.

Knowledge of payroll laws and regulations, including wage and hour laws, tax withholding requirements, and payroll reporting.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with employees and internal stakeholders.

Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Strong organizational and time management skills, with a focus on efficiency and accuracy.

Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information with integrity.
