A national paper products manufacturing company is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to support HR initiatives for their facility in Monroe, LA. Responsibilities include performing duties that support HR policy and goals to promote a “high-performance” culture.

 

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

 

Partner with HR leadership and line-management to implement initiatives that support the companies’ long term objectives

Perform operational tasks related to labor relations/grievances, recruitment, onboarding/offboarding & compliance

Ensure HR policy in compliance with state regulation and standards

Align department with organizational growth and change through staffing, talent development, organization design, performance management and succession planning

Utilize reporting tools to acquire and analyze metrics to support data driven decision-making

Requirements

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE

Minimum 2 years of human resources experience in a manufacturing environment

Previous union, labor relations experience required

Thorough knowledge of state and federal laws pertaining to Human Resources

Strong understanding of change management principles, methodologies, and best practices

Previous experience with ER and/or labor relations

Must have strong analytical and critical thinking, problem-solving and decision-making skills

·       High intermediate to advanced Excel skills

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field required
