Solugenix is assisting a client in their search for a Sr. Power Electronic Engineer. This is a direct hire opportunity based out of Lake Forest, CA (Onsite).

 

Qualifications:

Appropriate combination of degree and/or experience developing, implementing, and testing power electronic devices.

Strong analytical skills with solid device, circuit, and controls theory fundamentals.

Strong hands-on testing and troubleshooting skills.

Experience with embedded firmware development for real-time control systems.

Familiarity with safety and compliance standards for electrical machines connected to power electronics.

Familiarity with electrical machine operation.

Responsibilities:

Outline controller requirements based on system performance requirements.

Design and implement new topologies for controllability and fit to system requirements.

Development of control strategies to provide the highest performance of the system.

Development of dynamic models of the system, and tune controller algorithms accordingly to optimize performance.

Translate algorithms into software implementation, and work with the firmware team to integrate that into the firmware framework.

Test, validate, and troubleshoot controller implementation.

Develop and utilize computer simulations (Matlab/Simulink, HiL, SiL) to analyze developed algorithms, improvement, and modification.

Annual Base Salary Range for CA, CO, IL, NJ, NY, WA, and DC: $160,000 to $225,000. Actual compensation offered may vary depending on factors including but not limited to, position offered, location, education, training and/or experience.
