Sharon Tube, a division of Zekelman Industries, is seeking temporary, part-time summer Production Workers for our facility located in Farrell, PA. Production Workers operate process equipment, produce, and package product, and perform other tasks essential to our production operation.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Working with hand and/or power equipment

Running any/all machinery

Material handling

Ensuring proper safety procedures are followed

Operating Mobile Equipment

Operating packing and banding equipment

Other duties as assigned by management

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma/GED required

18 years of age

Enrolled as a full-time student in an accredited college/university/trade school

Physically capable of performing labor work

Regular, predictable on-site attendance per weekly posted schedule is an essential function of this role

Lead and promote health and safety work practices as required by regulatory agencies and company policy

Good work history preferred  

Proven mechanical aptitude preferred

Attention to detail, dependability, professionalism

Ability to work weekly rotating shifts

Ability to work OT as required  

Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen/physical/ background check

Legally authorized to work in the US

Regular, full-time, predictable onsite attendance per the posted schedule is an essential function of this role

Lead and promote health and safety work practices as required by regulatory agencies and company policy

 

PHYSICAL ABILITIES:

Must be able to move objects and use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue. Constant movement and use of limbs; this position requires good manual dexterity, coordination and stamina.

Must be able to remain in a stationary position for several hours

Ability to lift, climb, bend, stoop, push and pull.

Must be able to lift 60lbs.

Must be able to stand for 10-12 hours

Ability to perform work in a plant/manufacturing environment

Other physical requirements as needed for job
