Research Associate Internship

Serna Bio is building the world’s first map of the druggable transcriptome, systematically opening up the universe of RNA biology to small molecule drug discovery. Using our Discovery Platform, we are tackling the classically intractable targets ranging from coding and non-coding RNA.

We are looking for a Summer Research Intern to join our team and work directly with our CEO

The Impact You’ll Make

You’ll work alongside the CEO and our drug discovery team to support research on therapeutic areas and business strategy. Your work will involve literature reviews on specific therapeutic areas, specific targets or competitive landscaping for a specific indication.

This work will help inform our future program strategy. This is an opportunity to work with ambitious Biotech startup and make a real impact.

The role does require a significant time commitment and we are looking for people with a talent for research and a clear communication style.

Serna Bio was built to challenge assumptions around Biology, Disease Definition, Drug discovery, the definition of blockbuster drugs, and the potential of the structurome.  We are a globally distributed and interdisciplinary team working on complex multi-domain scientific challenges.

Requirements

Technical Requirements

PhD candidates, or recent Post-Docs with strong academic performance and with focus in autoimmune disorders or oncology. Passion for scientific reading and writing and looking to work in AI & Drug Discovery

Intellectually curious with the ability to challenge conventional thinking

Excellent writing and communication skills

Strong self-management (detail orientation, effective time management, ability to prioritise);

Available for at least 5 hours a week
