Title: Accounts Receivable Supervisor

The AR Supervisor administers and supervises all AR functions, including but not limited to billing, cash application and collections, within established organizational policies.  This role includes ensuring processes and procedures are in place in responsible areas to provide timely, accurate financial information to maximize cash flow in accordance internal and external accounting and reporting requirements. Evaluating shared services opportunities and contributes to related functional consolidation and automation initiatives. Cross train on various accounting/finance functions. Candidates must have a strong ability to work in a team culture and to consistently meet and exceed the accountabilities noted below, which are crucial aspects of this role.  The AR Supervisor is a working manager and will assist and work alongside of the respective team members to ensure proper completion of each transaction/task.  A proven ability to work in a high energy, fast-paced environment is required.

Responsibilities:
Supervise day-to-day operations of the AR Team; responsible for all accounting and data processing aspects of billing, cash receipts and collections.Ensures that all data/transactions, e.g. invoices, cash receipts, and credits are entered and accurately reported throughout the financial and accounting systems.

Regularly balances/reconciles accounts receivable to the general ledger and financial statements.

Conducts effective performance reviews in accordance with established company policies and recommends salary adjustments, promotions, transfers, or terminations as appropriate

Assists in monitoring, tracking and enforcing department policies, procedures and goals while identifying inefficiencies and propose, develop and document new concepts and procedures.

Supervise the monthly AR close process including reconciliation of AR sub-ledger to GL and preparation of AR month end schedules, revenue reporting and reconciliation to GL and metrics used for internal reporting.

Review collection reports to ascertain status of collections and balances outstanding and reduce collection cycle times (DSO) where possible.

Supervise the audit of delinquent accounts considered to be uncollectible to ensure maximum efforts have been taken before recommending bad-debt status to account.

Monitor aging balances and recommend write offs. Work closely with Finance leadership and Sales to ensure collection guidelines are adhered to and issues quickly resolved.

Documentation of work product - Maintains orderly, accurate and complete files in support of assigned work responsibilities. Organizes records and files in a manner that facilitates retrieval; understands and observes retention requirements for appropriate tax, Government, and other regulatory offices.

Technology utilization - Accesses financial databases with advanced competence; use Company furnished technology to accomplish position responsibilities and special assignments in an effective and timely manner.

Must take initiative, be self -motivated, and an independent, accountable, dependable performer.

Maintain a high degree of professionalism.

Complete other assignments as requested.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree (with major in Business Administration or Accounting/Finance preferred).

Minimum 5 - 7 years of progressive business experience

Well-developed financial analysis capabilities with a solid understanding of GAAP/IFRS requirements.

Ability to communicate effectively with employees of all levels within the organization on, as well was Kurita customers, both internally and externally. Ability to work well under pressure and maintain positive, enthusiastic attitude in a fast-paced environment.

Demonstrated ability to accomplish broadly defined objectives with minimal direction, exercising creativity, initiative, and good business judgment.

Ability to work effectively in a team environment and build strong working relationships.

Physical and Mental requirements:  Required to sit for extended periods of time.
