Overview:
As a member of BISSELL’s Digital IT team, you will work to enhance and maintain integrations and automation, assisting with new strategies on a growing global team. 

 

The Senior Programmer Analyst will primarily be responsible for the development and support of various API integrations, event hubs, DevOps automations, and internal web applications, and will require working across multiple cloud solutions and helping build out new and existing integrations and applications that span across the globe.  These integrations and applications cross between enterprise solutions, third-party applications, custom applications, and integrated systems.  You’ll work alongside business stakeholders, visual designers, system architects, technical leads, QA analysts, and application architects in a collaborative environment to iteratively deliver solutions on time and on budget. You will leverage the latest technologies, tools, and frameworks to produce internal and external products, including managing API’s external to both consumers and customers.  This person must function effectively in a collaborative team environment.

 

We want someone who has experience in developing integrations, building out DevOp automations, and developing web applications, but also can collaborate effectively and manage technical development teams.  If you’ve worked on growing development teams in a rapidly moving and ever-changing environment, we would love to learn more about you 

Responsibilities:
Work with teams to develop, document and pilot new integrations, automations, and internal web applications

Support and review of existing solutions, providing recommendations on continuous improvement, and ensuring systems are secured and reliable

Document and maintain records on systems that are supported within the domain

Partner with vendors on collaborative efforts

Incubate new technologies and frameworks to be adopted across the enterprise including how to best leverage micro-batch services

Disseminate knowledge & documentation across the organization

Maintain current knowledge of technology landscape and emerging developments

Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and distribute knowledge

Evangelize innovation and new way of thinking within the organization

Ability to think generically and pragmatically while implementing solutions

Qualifications:
Required Experience / Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar degree program

5+ years of experience with Application Development using Javascript, Node.JS, React, React Native, or equivalent

Required Skills:

3+ years of experience with API’s, API Gateways, and Integration management

3+ years of experience with DevOps (CI/CD) process and tooling

Experience with AWS Cloud Services, SDKs, frameworks, and architecture

Expertise with Object-Oriented programming

Expertise with databases, relational or NoSQL

Knowledge of Microservices architecture

Experience troubleshooting application issues

Experience with an IDE such as Eclipse or Visual Studio

Experience performing automated Unit Testing and Integration Testing

Experience with Micro-services

Strong exposure to collaborative engineering methodologies: agile, code reviews, linting, continuous integration, cloud deployments, etc.

Experience working in a continuous delivery environment

 Desired Skills:

Consumer durable goods or Consumer Electronics industry experience

Experience with Git, GitHub, and any side projects

Experience with C#

Experience with Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar enterprise DevOps toolsets

Experience with Oracle Enterprise platform

Experience with Performance testing

Experience with AWS Lambda functions

Experience with TerraForm and Cloudformation

Understanding of MACH architecture

Aptitude and eagerness to learn from a new environment and make an impact quickly

Ability to manage and foster change

Ability to listen to multiple points of view and synthesize against goals for recommendations

Ability to plan, prioritize and organize effectively and independently

Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks
