Casting Supervisor

Responsibilities:
Job Duties/Responsibilities:

Ensure crew adheres to all safety procedures.  Identifies and mitigates new/unrecognized hazards

Supervise/coordinate all steelmaking activities and casters' production and maintenance activities

Maintain casting quality standards required for prime production

Manage shift personnel by providing guidance, training, and scheduling of crew members

Communicate and coordinate with other shifts and departments

Qualifications:
Experience/Requirements: 

 

Required: 

Safety minded focus

Melting, Casting and/or Rolling experience and knowledge of steelmaking

5+ years' experience as leader of co-workers

Highly effective communication and interpersonal skills

Good decision making ability

Preferred: 

General computer knowledge

General mechanical/electrical/PLC understanding
