Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated Electrical Design Engineer to join our team immediately. The ideal candidate will have 1-5 years of experience in electrical design, with a strong educational background in engineering. While a PE license is not required, candidates should be on track towards obtaining licensure in the future. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of projects, with a particular focus on larger scale multi-family developments that prioritize energy efficiency and all-electric solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with project teams to develop electrical design solutions for commercial projects, including multi-family residences, hospitality venues, restaurants, breweries, wineries, retail spaces, offices, event spaces, and building upgrades/conversions.

Conduct electrical load calculations, power distribution design, lighting design, and system layouts in accordance with project requirements and industry standards.

Assist in the preparation of technical drawings, specifications, and construction documents.

Perform site visits and field investigations to assess existing conditions and ensure compliance with design specifications.

Stay abreast of industry trends, codes, and regulations related to electrical engineering and sustainable design practices.

Communicate effectively with clients, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

Contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment, fostering innovation and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.

1-5 years of experience in electrical design, preferably in the commercial sector.

Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or other design software.

Strong understanding of electrical codes, standards, and regulations.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
