Position Summary

 

The Welder joins metal parts using high heat application to form a permanent bond.

Responsibilities:
Operates welding machine that feeds wire to bond materials

Plans work by interpreting welding symbols on blueprints

Determines welding position and type of metal to be fused

Selects and sets up welding equipment

Ensures welds meet standards and specifications

Uses heat from an electric arc to cut and trim metal objects

Employees are responsible to comply with all requirements of Daifuku’s QMS policies and procedures.

Employees are to ensure sustainable process outputs that drive continuous improvement to provide leading industry performance and exceptional customer satisfaction.

 

Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; Certificate or Associate degree in welding

Minimum 1 year of welding experience 

Good mechanical aptitude

Ability to read blueprints

Knowledge of hand tools and power tools

Good communication skills

Knowledge of quality assurance and self-inspection techniques

Self-motivated and detail-oriented

Team orientation

Crane operation certification required

Forklift operation experience preferred, but not required
