The Inspector “A” works throughout the facility assuring quality through the use of Ultrasonic Testing, Magnetic Particle Inspection, Eddy Current, chemical etch, measuring tools and gages. The Inspector “A” will inspect parts at the rate required by each.

Major Position Responsibilities:
Performs all assigned duties not limited to running and calibrating multiple U.T. machines while lifting, pulling, and pushing manufactured products at the established rate of production. Regularly works M.P.I. and Eddy Current through visual inspection 

Works with and follows Basic Rules of Manufacturing, General Dynamics OTS Environmental Policy, ISO Documentation, Quality Policy and other work related policies

At all times demonstrates common safety practices associated with the manufacturing environment and the use of hand or industrial equipment. Is required to recognize problems, make corrective adjustments and /or notify appropriate supervision.

Performs other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications:
Any combination of education, training or work related experience that, in the eyes of a supervisor, would qualify the individual to meet the majority of the items listed in the assessment. The assessment specifically targets the knowledge, skills, abilities

Experience working in a heavy manufacturing environment helpful

Must be willing to work any shift assigned as this is a union environment

Must have excellet written and verbal communication skills and the ability to speak effectively to all levels of personnel

Must be able to do basic math and must be able to stand for 8 hours per day

 

Scranton Army Ammunition Plant is a government contracted facility, all potential employees must be able to pass Federal background requirments
