TITLE:                                    Senior Director of Analytics (2 positions available)

 

HOURS:                                  Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

 

DUTIES:                                 Under the supervision of the Vice President of Finance and Analytics, designs systems and procedures for conducting studies and evaluations of the organization’s business and financial data to assist management in operating more efficiently and effectively.

Studies organizational performance data and uses algorithms to prepare financial forecasts and predictive models to create and implement a cost analysis plan, with a focus on creating additional value across many different disciplines within the company, for consideration and implementation by company executives and the board of trustees

Designs and develops systems to prepare and analyze predictive modeling of operations to forecast the company's financial operating efficiency, and to advise the vice president of finance and analytics, the chief strategy officer, and the president on the implementation of new growth initiatives across the organization.

Analyzes proposed business initiatives of the organization against the general economic, business, and financial conditions of the market at a given time and prepares and presents recommendations and implementation reports to the chief strategy officer and other key stakeholders of the organization.

Drafts policies and procedures to ensure that key strategic initiatives which impact revenue are properly prioritized by the finance team and are brought to the attention of the vice president of finance and analytics; trains and manages a team of analysts to gather, mine, and analyze inter-departmental employee and student data in accordance with the requirements of the Florida department of education and accrediting agencies; assists in identifying key business performance indicators by preparing forecasts and predictive modeling through algorithms, and by utilizing data mining skills to synthesize large amounts of data to translate them into actionable insights, for consideration by the vice president of finance and analytics and president of the company.

Under the guidance of the vice president of finance and analytics, reviews and analyzes new time sensitive projects to assess their immediate and long-term financial impact on the organization, in support of the decision making of both the president and the vice-president of finance and analytics on proposed courses of action.

 

REQUIREMENTS:                  Master’s degree in Business Analytics, MIS, Engineering (any), or related.

 

                                                Three (3) years of experience as a business or financial analyst.

 

Three (3) years of required experience as a business or financial analyst must include: Preparing financial forecasts and predictive modeling for a large company using data mining to build supporting algorithms and synthesizing resulting data into a format suitable for presentation to executives of the company; Experience driving revenue and operational improvement initiatives through design and development of the analytical modeling systems; Project management; Experience prioritizing and managing disparate analytical projects simultaneously; and Experience with organization-wide data governance, data security, cloud infrastructure and data quality best practices.
