Summary:
This position is responsible for the preparation of reports for medical management and business decision making throughout MyMichigan Health Network (MHN). Data analysis is used for internal and external purposes. Internal functions include physician and Physician Organization performance reports, clinical care measures and other quality management. This position functions in a team environment and works directly with the third party administrators and other vendors to acquire and analyze data of a quality nature.

Responsibilities:
(40%)* Develop, document and analyze data for accuracy to maintain high quality systems.

(40%)* Maintain data for external payors, such as physician lists, Patient Center Medical Home (PCMH) capabilities for required data submission deadlines and reporting.

(20%)* Keep up-to-date and utilize client data including membership, medical management/utilization, pharmacy and financial data.

Required Education:
Bachelors Degree required

Equivalent Experience: Bachelors Degree in Statistics, Finance, Computer Science, Health Administration, Business, Accounting or related field.Two years of healthcare field experience is required.

OTHER DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Outline process for evaluating and analyzing data for pay-for-performance criteria and other quality measures. Recommend enhancements to systems as well as data acquisition processes to improve the accuracy of operation data. Data analysis and support including ad-hoc analysis for special projects on a frequent basis for all MyMichigan Health Network areas (including President, Medical Directors, Chief Operating Officer, Director of Collaborative Care, Financial Manager). Prepare and analyze quarterly data from payors for translation to MHN staff and physicians for pay-for-performance tracking and quality performance. Maintain the Pay for Performance database. Present data analysis, when appropriate, to physicians, boards, or committees, interpreting data as needed. Assist in development and maintenance of data reporting systems, both for internal and external reporting, including a Disease Registry. MyMichigan Health is a technology driven organization and employees need to demonstrate competency in Microsoft® Windows. Employees are required to take a Computer Skills Assessment via the learning management system upon hire. Based on the results of the assessment, an employee may be required to participate in further learning opportunities offered by MyMichigan Health. All other duties as assigned. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND SKILLS Two years healthcare field experience is required. Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Finance, Computer Science, Health Administration, Business, Accounting or related field. Computer knowledge in Windows environment using Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint is also requiredStrong analytical skills, communication skills and organization skills are required. PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS AND TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS Exposure to stressful situations, including those involving public contact, as well as, trauma, grief and death. Able to wear personal protective equipment that includes latex materials or appropriate substitute if required for your position. Is able to move freely about the unit and hospital. Overall vision is necessary; including reading, depth perception, close-up work and must have a peripheral field of vision. Hearing and speech on the phone as well as in person are necessary. Must be able to communicate verbally in person, on the phone and in writing. Frequently required to sit/stand/walk for long periods of time. Some exposure to blood borne pathogens and other potentially infectious material. Ability to handle multiple tasks, get along with others, work independently, regular and predictable attendance and ability to stay awake. Must follow MyMichigan Health bloodborne pathogen and TB testing as required

Equivalent Experience and Other Comments (Education):
CPA preferred. 5 years healthcare experience preferred. general leger experience required.
