Overview:
Senior Field Representative

 

Berkshire Hathaway GUARD Insurance Companies, an A+ rated nationwide Property & Casualty insurer, is seeking a Senior Field/Marketing Representative for our Kansas and Missouri territory. Preferred location for the candidate will be Kansas City, Central MO, or St Louis.

Responsibilities:
This person will be responsible for appointing independent agents to represent the company, monitoring agency performance goals, educating agents about our products and services, and seeking new and unique opportunities for growth.

Qualifications:
Qualified candidates must possess a strong background in commercial insurance with a particular emphasis on Workers’ Compensation, Property/Liability, Commercial Umbrella, and Commercial Auto. Professional Liability experience a plus. Keen knowledge of Kansas, Missouri and surrounding territory P&C marketplace is required, including competitive intelligence and a good familiarity with the independent agency network serving the state.  The ideal candidate must be able to work independently (typically from home) and be willing to travel frequently throughout the territory.  He/she should have excellent organization skills and be comfortable working with Windows Office and other basic computer programs.  A Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
