Overview:
We are looking for folks to work in our bakery and packaging departments. Positions are available on all shifts (1st  7 AM – 3 PM; 2nd 3 PM – 11 PM; 3rd 11 PM – 7 AM). Actual job description will vary depending on the position.

Responsibilities:
Bakery – Mixes bread dough according to company formulas for the different breads produced in the plant. Ensures proper seasoning and application rates are correct. Combines ingredients according to the recipe for producing bread used to make croutons. Operates mixing equipment, pumps, mills, and valves as required to maintain the production schedule. Wraps and scans pallets. Provides product samples to QA. Maintains a high-quality level of the bread being made and performs sanitation activities in the bakery area as required.

 

Packaging – Packs finished products into cases and stacks filled cases on pallets for shipping operation. Receives WIP from the warehouse and loads it into the dumper to keep packaging machines running. Wraps and scans pallets and performs other duties as needed to ensure continuous product filling/packaging.

Qualifications:
High school graduate or equivalent.

Prior experience in a manufacturing environment requiring repetitive work is preferred.

Basic mechanical aptitude is helpful.

May not have food allergies.

Ability to work well with others.

Working Conditions/Environment:
Works in a manufacturing environment where the employee is regularly required to speak, read, sit, stand, walk, climb, crouch, lift, reach, grasp, and bend while moving about the facility.   Must be able to move 75 pounds at a distance of 25 feet or more at various frequencies and/or intervals. Must be able to stand for an 8 – 12 hour shift (sometimes longer) with regular breaks while performing repetitive tasks. May be required to work overtime and/or weekends as needed. May be exposed to non-ambient temperatures, odors, dust, oil, slippery floors, and moving parts/equipment. The noise level is loud in the plant. Ear protection, eye/face protection, hair/beard nets, steel-toed/slip-resistant shoes, and gloves are required per company GMP and safety standards.
