Chief Operating Officer (COO) Ascension Saint Thomas Behavioral Health Hospital

 

Ascension Saint Thomas Behavioral Health Hospital is a newly built state of the art 90-bed inpatient mental health hospital located in Nashville, Tennessee. The facility offers inpatient acute care, partial hospitalization programs, intensive outpatient services, traditional clinic services, residential care, and opioid addiction treatment programs

 

We are actively searching for a results-driven and experienced Chief Operating Officer to join the Acadia team. In this role, you will have the exciting opportunity to oversee some of the operational functions of Ascension Saint Thomas Behavioral Health Hospital. This includes managing day-to-day operations, driving strategic initiatives, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to our patients. Responsibilities:
Manage one or more departments efficiently and effectively to maximize cost effective quality of services.

Manage and implement programs to ensure all employees are committed to quality and service.

Actively participate in strategic planning and corresponding development activities including regulatory preparedness and quality improvement.

In CEO’s absence, operate the facility within that capacity.

Assists the CEO in collaborative efforts related to the development, communication and implementation of effective strategies and processes.

Provide staff management to including hiring, development, training, performance management and communication to ensure effective and efficient department operation.

Assist with budgets and spending to ensure departments operate within funding limits.

Evaluate operational processes by analyzing business objectives and patient needs.

Perform other functions as assigned.

Qualifications:
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree preferred.

Two or more years’ of experience in a related field required.

Five or more years’ of hands-on experience in the behavioral health field required.

LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:

Independent clinical licensure (LPCC, LMFT, LWSW) preferred.
