Overview:
The 4Kids4Families Intake Specialist will be primarily responsible for locating safe and appropriate placement for children who are in the conservatorship of DFPS or were referred to Arrow by state or partner agencies. The position promotes the wellbeing of children and interacts routinely with contracted residential providers, DFPS staff, district administrative and casework staff.

Responsibilities:
Other duties may be assigned as necessary.

Receive and review client referrals and intake information. Ensures all appropriate information and
documentation is entered into agencies’ databases.

Collaborate with caseworkers, foster parents, and other stakeholders to gather feedback, address concerns, and implement improvements to the application process regarding placement.

Participate in staff meetings and trainings.

Coordinate response to all referral calls to CPS within 1 hour.

Maintain an up-to-date listing of all agency care providers and licensing capacity, by ensuring accurate data entry.

Maintain and encourage a healthy staff environment and culture.

Must be willing to work on call and after normal business hours as needed to ensure 24/7 coverage.

Responsible for the supervision of SSCC youth may be required.

Able to handle crisis situations and make sound decisions in a quick and calm manner.

Perform all duties within contract, state and federal regulations, company policy, and regulatory agency standards.

May be required to drive vehicles, be insurable with our auto insurance provider, and complete company vehicle training.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’ Degree from accredited college or university required. 3-5 years of experience in child welfare services preferred.
