Location: Grand Rapids, MI

Duration: Several weeks

Frequency: 40/hrs per week - 1099

 

 

Description:

 

The person will be responsible to:

 

Oversee the manufacturing activity at this supplier, resolve the issues, address the roadblocks.

Make sure the supplier is producing the seat set on time so they can deliver it as needed. 

Make sure the parts are of the requested quality // support will be given by the Quality technician and Supplier Development Coordinator from the customer

Make sure the seat sets are shipped COMPLETE and not partialIf partial shipment the supplier needs to fill out correctly a Derogation form and send it to us so we receive it before the seat sets // support from the planner

Make sure all documents / paperwork for transportation and borders (if shipping is for Canada) are correctly completed // support from the planner

 

Requirements:

 

Must have practical experience performing in-process and final inspections on mechanical parts, assemblies, and / or sub-assemblies.

Has knowledge of GD&T or equivalent standard. Must have the ability to read / interpret engineering drawings and Purchase Orders (POs).

Must have experience using various mechanical inspection tools, such as micrometers and calipers.

Has a minimum of five years experience performing inspections in transport, aerospace or military / defense manufacturing

Is proefficient using Microsoft Word and Excel.

Must be computer savvy and own a laptop for this assignment.

Will be working as an independent contractor (1099).

Has good communication skills and is a self-starter
