Job Description

Represent Harsco Environmental North America in the acquisition of scrap metal to include pricing of material, pricing, and coordinating transportation, sourcing of scrap material, communicating with vendors, maintaining business relationships, negotiating payment terms, negotiating specification of materials, visiting suppliers, and coordinating with appropriate parties. Assist in special projects as required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 

Identify Opportunities: Seek out and identify opportunities to buy and sell scrap metal commodities.

Negotiate Deals: Negotiate pricing and payment terms with suppliers and customers.

Market Analysis: Monitor market trends and conditions related to scrap metal commodities.

Relationship Management: Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and customers.

Compliance: Ensure all transactions comply with local, state, and federal regulations.

Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels to optimize turnover and profitability.

Logistics: Coordinate logistics to ensure timely delivery of scrap metal commodities.

Quality Control: Ensure the quality of scrap metal commodities meets the standards of buyers.

Reporting: Prepare and present reports on trading activities and revenue projections.
