Overview:
As a Household Goods Moving Claims Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring customer satisfaction and managing claims associated with household goods relocation services. You will be responsible for investigating and resolving claims filed by customers related to damages, losses, or discrepancies during the moving process. Your attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to communicate effectively will be essential in facilitating fair resolutions and maintaining positive relationships with clients and service providers

Responsibilities:
Receive and review claims submitted by customers regarding damaged, lost, or missing household goods during the moving process.

Collaborate with insurance provider to understand determinations on claims.

Conduct thorough investigations into the circumstances surrounding each claim, including reviewing documentation, assessing liability, and gathering relevant information from customers, movers, and third-party vendors.

Maintain accurate records of all claim-related communications, documentation, and resolutions, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Communicate effectively with customers, moving companies, and other stakeholders to provide updates on claim status, request additional information or documentation as needed, and facilitate timely resolutions.

Negotiate settlements with customers, moving companies, and insurance providers to reach fair and equitable resolutions for all parties involved.

Partner with internal stakeholders on claim resolution, trends and claim escalations to client and customer satisfaction.

Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, concerns, and escalations related to claims in a professional and empathetic manner, striving to exceed customer expectations.

Prepare and present regular reports on claim trends, resolution outcomes, and customer satisfaction metrics to management, identifying areas for improvement and implementing proactive measures to mitigate future claims.

Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and contractual agreements throughout the claims process, maintaining the highest standards of integrity and ethical conduct.

Perform requests as directed by manager to support team.

Live and promote company core values.

 

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Previous experience with claims management, customer service, or related field.

3+ years related industry experience including move management services and household goods claims preferred.

Knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards governing the moving and transportation of household goods is a plus. 

Detail oriented with a high level of accuracy in documentation and record-keeping.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate complex situations, identify root causes and propose effective solutions.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
