Unit Description:
Sodexo Schools Division is seeking a Food Operations Manager 2 to support managing a large food and nutrition program in Portland, OR. Our Food Operations Manager assists with overseeing operations of our daily National School Breakfast and Lunch Programs. He or she will also manage the catering department and will be responsible for creating promotions/demonstration cooking to further promote Sodexo’s programs within the community. The selected candidate will oversee all ordering and inventory.

 

Specific duties include: supervising front/back of house operations regarding marketing, customer service and food production. Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities, knowledge of the NSLP guidelines, USDA commodities, and managing a food service team in a K-12 environment is strong preferred. The ideal candidate for this position will have experience with FOH management, ordering, inventory, and previous culinary experience. Valid driver's license required.

have oversight of day-to-day operations;

successfully coordinate all required tasks through subordinate managers, supervisors and frontline staff;

achieve company and client financial targets and goals;  

ensure HACCP, NSLP, USDA, regulatory and standards compliance;

have daily interaction with students and school administration;

create a positive environment; and/or

ensure Sodexo standards are met.
