POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide key support in planning and coordination and oversee daily operations of research projects. The Project Director will problem solve issues related to planning and implementation, supervise related staff assigned to specific projects and lead project meetings.

Coordinate quarterly meetings and leadership meetings and represent the research agenda of Dr. Chambers at meetings of project partners including the Einstein ICTR and other NIH supported Centers, Montefiore Medical Group, and support communication with Community Advisory Boards or other community stakeholder meetings.

Manage dissemination strategies for research results including maintenance of the research website, community briefs, and field action reports. Assist in the development of additional tracking and data collection efforts.

Manage all Institutional Review Board (IRB)-related activities.

Create regular reports for the IRB, funders (NIH and others) and Pl.

Assist leadership with preparation of grant proposals.

Facilitate and prepare conference abstracts, oral presentations, and poster presentations, and participate in the development and writing of manuscripts for publication for projects conducted.

Work with Departmental Administrator to develop and monitor project budgets and subcontractors.

Assist with the planning and reporting related to medical student, fellow, and resident trainee research projects.

Supervise participant recruitment, tracking, and follow-up.

Coordinate meetings with study partners and represent study at study site meetings.

Attend meetings to present study results and to meet with collaborators at other study sites.

Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Requirements 

Master’s Degree required with experience in clinical and community-based research management.

2-3 years of administrative research experience.

Experience working with interdisciplinary teams that include clinical partners and community-based organizations.

Optimal technical background

Proficiency in software and database creation and management as it relates to the enterprise. This includes but is not limited to:

Software systems such as; Microsoft Office Suite, Windows 10+ or Mac iOS

Proficiency in use of structured databases supporting tracking and management of data collection (i.e. REDCap, Qualtrics, Google forms)

Data visualization software such as Canva

Skills and Competencies – Describe the critical skills and proficiencies necessary to succeed in this position (e.g., technical skills, communication / writing skills, etc). 

Communication skills are vital, including both effective written and public speaking abilities.

The role requires the use of sound professional judgment to trouble-shoot issues and problems without direct day-to-day supervision from supervisors.

Great interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a team setting is essential.

This position requires a high degree of organization to manage projects. This includes both individual workflow and broader project management of workflow.

Can be relied upon to outline project goals and timelines and review progress at defined intervals.

Knowledge of program design and management.

Two years prior supervisory experience preferred.

Minimum Salary Range:
USD $90,000.00/Yr.

Maximum Salary Range:

About Us:
Dr. Earle Chambers is the Director of Research in Family and Social Medicine at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine- Montefiore Health System. Dr. Chambers holds leadership positions in the New York Regional Center for Diabetes and Translation Research (NY-CDTR) and the Harold and Muriel Block Institute for Clinical and Translational Research (ICTR). Dr. Chambers’ extensive portfolio of research projects and research center grants focuses on addressing health equity and the upstream causes of racial, ethnic, and economic health disparities that impact the health of patients and communities in the Bronx and beyond. 

The Project Director works as a member of the Department of Family & Social Medicine within Einstein-Montefiore to manage Dr. Chambers’ various research projects and facilitate the successful implementation of their overall aims and deliverables to their respective funding entities.  The Program Director will manage current grants (including related staff), assist in the writing and development of new grants and support the projects of medical students, residents, and fellows related to Dr. Chambers’ work. S/he works in accordance with the policies of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, the National Institutes of Health (and/or other funding entities), and in collaboration with the ICTR Administration, the Montefiore Medical Center Administration, and the College of Medicine on regulatory compliance and achievement of the institutional goals and objectives.

This position is intended to be a 3-year position with opportunities to extend based on funding.
